The annual 4th of July Celebration at PHV will include a Flag Ceremony to commemorate each of our 50 states. Pack 20 will be supporting this event as a service project for the community. Sign up begins at the American Legion Tent around 1000 on the 4th. You don't have to be there by 1000, but if you want to reserve your state flag, the earlier the better will ensure your chances. Setup for the scouts will begin at 1900 next to the big celebration tent. The ceremony will begin at 2000 and should last about 20 minutes. Each scout will have their picture taken as the flag is presented, and the American Legion will provide a nice certificate and picure to each volunteer several weeks after the event. We need at least 50 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or Venturers in uniform to make this event a huge success. |

CUB RESIDENT CAMP AUG 3-7, 2008 Imagine sitting around the campfire listening to stories, seeing skits, singing songs as smoke wafts to the star lit sky. Feel the thrill as your son pulls back on his bowstring, releases his arrow and whoosh, it hits the target for the very first time. |
